Kunming, many Indian businessmen know
the capital of Yunnan Province as next business destination
in China. Kunming is known as spring city of China where
highest temperature in summer is within 26 degree and
lowest in winter is within 7 degree celsius no snow falling
in winter.
Kunmingis a Tourist destination for American
and European people. It has both natural scenic and historical
famous tourist spots. Famous STONE FOREST ( A national
heritage and as famous as CHINESE GREAT WALL ) is only
70 KM from Kunming. Kunming is industrially developed
and agriculturally rich place. They are the exporter of
flowers and agriculture products and equally exporter
of industrial products, it is enriched with minerals.
Very shortly Calcutta will be connected with Kunming by
AIR (may be 2 hours flight), as it is the nearest industrial
city in China. In 2004, an 80-member industrial and Govt.
official’s delegation visited India (Delhi and Calcutta)
to promote business with India. CII, Central and West
Bengal commerce industries organized this business conclave.
There is a proposal to construct surface road from Kunming
to India (Northeastern state Manipur/ Mizoram) via Burma
to develop Indo-China business through this channel.
